ABOUT MRS. MCGEE

About Miss PorterAubie

Hi!  My name is Keeley Porter, and I am an Auburn University Alumni.  WAR EAGLE!  I completed my internship at Vestavia Hills Elementary at Liberty Park, teaching kindergarten with my cooperating teacher, Jaime Williams in the Spring of 2015.  The same semester I was awarded a degree in Early Childhood Education and became a permanent resident of the “Magic City”, also known as Birmingham, Alabama.

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, traveling, and enjoying a nice snooze with my favorite blanky.  My favorite sweet treat is dark chocolate covered almonds, and when I splurge on a salty snack I choose the one and only Miss Vickie’s Salt and Vinegar Chips.  I love when people make working out fun; I love going on hikes and completing eclectic 5k’s around the community.

Mom and Dad

I have a very sweet family, whom I love dearly.  I grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, and my wonderful parents still live in the city.  My sister completed a degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University, and will be moving to the Birmingham area in the upcoming months.

I am currently engaged to my best friend, Andrew McGee.  Andrew and I met in Auburn, AL while we were both in school.  Andrew loves to meet new people, exercise, and study.  Yes, he likes to study!  We will be getting married this upcoming Summer, and my name will be changing to Mrs. McGee!

Last, but not least, I have a new addition to the family.  I’d like to introduce my two-year-old fur baby, Lolli Mae Porter. Lolli Mae is 7lbs of fluffy feline.  She loves to take naps, watch HGTV, and eat.  Lolli Mae can sit on command and enjoys long walks on her harness/leash.

I hope you have learned a little more about me, as I hope to learn about you!  God has blessed me graciously and in His time I hope to have a career educating our next generation of children.
